Olympics Hockey: Team USA VS Team Switzerland (Updated)
Vancouver Olympics 2010 hockey: Team USA will begin the first match to battle Team Switzerland on the medal round in men’s hockey quarterfinals and. The match up will begin at 12:00 PM PST. The winner of that match will advance to the semifinals to take on the winner of Finland-Czech Republic on that same day.
Early in the series, Team USA has a record of 3-1 when they defeated Switzerland in the Group A bracket on Tuesday. It’s also known that Team USA handed Canada team a big upset when the game scored 5-3 for them.
Team Switzerland however advances to the quarterfinals when they defeated Belarus with the score of 3-2.
USA GM Brian Burke gave his opinions on how Team USA has been successful and that there will be some plenty of room for improvement in the future.
“I’m not happy with the way we’ve played to this point,” Burke told USAHockey.com. “We need all hands on deck. We have 10 guys carrying us, in my opinion.”
Recent UPDATE: Team USA has defeated Team Switzerland with the score of 2-0 and will advance to the semifinals. They will play the winner of the Czech Republic—Finland match up.
