Lil Wayne, 27-year-old, a rapper and well-known great singer in music industry, will be be detained at New York’s Rikers Island complex. That is after New York state Judge Charles Solomon handed down the sentence for 1 year of imprisonment on Lil Wayne’s gun charge case but could be dealt with 8 months only if Wayne will show decent behavior inside the cell. He will not also be mixed with other criminals in the said detention area for his own safety.
In an interview, Lil Wayne lawyer Stacey Richman said:
“He is going to be in protective custody, because of who he is. He did not want to, but the department of correction said it’s mandatory. He cannot be with other detainees.”
