Kris Allen, American season 8 winner, will join Chris Daughtry and Jason Castro under Universal Music Publishing Group. The contract states that Universal have exclusive worldwide publishing and distribution rights of Kris Allen’s music and compositions.
“I look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with Monti Olsson and the creative staff at Universal Music Publishing Group,” Allen said.
Allen released his debut album under Jive Records in November 2009. His self-titled album has sold 250,000 copies with the carrier single “Live Like We’re Dying” and peaked at number 18 in the Billboard Charts.
