Mike Brown Fired, Leaving CAVS (Cavaliers) With No Championship Title
Posted by: admin In: sports
Mike Brown has been fired and will surely be missed by most of the CAVS (Cavaliers) fans next season, he was fired on Monday. He was fired after Cleveland Cavaliers failed to win the round 2 playoffs against the Boston Celtics. Mike Brown’s 5-year-long tenure with the Cavs have brought the team to make the playoff appearances but haven’t won a Championship Title yet.
Brown’s legacy will be treasured with the Cavs because he is the only coach/mentor that brought the franchise in a playoff caliber team. He has won Coach of the Year in 2009. Cavs made it to the 2007 NBA Finals but was swept by San Antonio Spurs. But him being a great coach with the Cavs, was superseded by the failure of winning a Championship and also having a great player in the team such as Lebron James.
In an interview, CAVS team owner said that: “the decision to fire Brown was “one of those times” when the team must take risks to “break through to new, higher levels of accomplishment.”
For sure many NBA teams will find Mike Brown a perfect fit for them.
