Beaches in Philippines – Top Beach Destinations To Travel

Posted by: admin In: lifestyle|travel

Many beaches in Philippines have already amazed the local people and also the large number of tourists that have explored the top beach destinations in the country for the past years. Being a tropical country, Philippines can be your best destination for beach escapades and dream vacation. Below are some of the best beach destinations in the Philippines that you can find.

Boracay – this is located in the tip of the island of Panay in Western Visayas. The island was voted BMW Tropical Beach Handbook as one of the best beaches in the world and again in 1996 by British publication TV Quick as the world’s number one tropical beach. When we talked about the Philippines, the term “Boracay” is also being coined because of the great scenery the island could offer.

Siargao – Are you inclined with surfing? Then this island is a perfect place for you! The Siargao also have succession of reefs, white and sandy beaches. One of the best known surfing waves on Siargao and the Philippines, with a worldwide reputation for thick, hollow tubes is “Cloud 9″. This right-breaking reef wave is the site of the annual Siargao Cup, a domestic and international surfing competition sponsored by the provincial government of Surigao del Norte (Wikipedia.org).

Pagudpud – Its white-sand beaches and crystal-blue water makes Pagudpud a haven for tourists. Maira-Ira Point is also an emerging attraction with its secluded beach known as the Blue Lagoon. Access to this public beach is from a secondary concrete road on the north side of the Maharlika Highway just before approaching the Patapat Viaduct. On the way to the Blue Lagoon, a sea arch can be seen. Coconut trees line much of the town’s coast (Wikipedia.org).

Camiguin – Located just a few kilometers off the coast are the two beautiful islands of Camiguin. White Island is accessed from Agoho which is about 5 km west of the town of Mambajao. Mantigue Island can be reached from Mahinog about 14 km south of Mambajao(Wikipedia.org). There are also many water falls that you can find in Camiguin.

El Nido – From the towering marble cliffs and enchanting lagoons to its 100[31]  white sandy beaches and lush jungle, El Nido is one of the top tourist destinations in Palawan, which is often referred to as the Philippines’ Last Frontier.[20] In the November-December 2007 issue of the National Geographic Traveler’s magazine, Palawan was chosen as one of the best travel destinations in the world, and particularly, it recommended El Nido and the Calamianes Islands (Wikipedia.org)
