Mayweather vs Pacquiao Fight Update: Mayweather Camp Ignores Arum’s Offer
Posted by: admin In: entertainment|sports
Mayweather vs Pacquiao Fight Update. The highly anticipated fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Manny Pacquiao will not push through this year. That is after Mayweather camp failed to answer Bob Arum’s deadline last Saturday and made Arum to scout for other great boxers to be pitted to fight Pacquiao on November 13, 2010 bout.
According to reports, Top Rank founder and CEO might consider Pacquiao vs Margarito fight. But there’s a slight problem because Margarito has yet to get his license back due to the illegal hand-wrapping issue with his fight against Shane Mosley.
Another posibility is a rematch against Miguel Cotto. It can be dubbed as “Manny Pacquiao vs Miguel Cotto 2″ (IMO), that is after the latter earned the WBA junior-middleweight title against Yuri Foreman in his last outing.
But there’s still hope for Mayweather vs Pacquiao Fight to push through, Arum said in an interview: “While these negotiations are going on [with Cotto and Margarito], if Floyd came to the table, that’s the fight we want more than all others”.
Do you think the fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao can even materialize? I hope to see them box and in the end let the world know who is the best pound for pound fighter there is today!
