Carmelo Anthony, an All-Star forward is eager to play in other NBA teams but not in Denver as of lately. Anthony has already expressed his desire to get out of the Nuggets roster last Sunday meeting.
According to Yahoo! Sports:
“Anthony wants to leave Denver and get his three-year, $65 million contract extension now. This partnership is rounding third and rapidly reaching disrepair. Denver is willing to trade Anthony, J.R. Smith(notes) and Kenyon Martin(notes), and start over again, sources said.”
There are several teams in the NBA right now that could land Anthony in their roster. Some of the most talkabout and desirable teams are the New Jersey Nets and Los Angeles Clippers, simply because they have enough money/salary cap space needed for Denver trade.
Do you think Denver Nuggets can still be a playoff contender in NBA Season 2010-2011? I mean, Carmelo Anthony will be a big lost in the roster and if J.R. Smith and Kenyon Martin will be gone too, I think it will be a different story for them.
