September 10, 2010 Declared Holiday in the Philippines

Is September 10, 2010 a non-working holiday? Yes. This is after P-Noy or President Noynoy Aquino has declared that date (FRIDAY) as a non-working holiday in the Philippines.

So what’s the reason why it is a holiday? You might ask.

To those of you who didn’t know, September 10 marks end of Eid ul Fitr or commonly known as “Ramadan” for this year of 2010.

Proclamation NO. 26, gives the Filipinos a chance to observe and respect our brothers and sisters in Muslim community in celebrating Ramadan.
